Today I am 26. On the other side to 30 and on the other side of a lot of life. The last 12 months were a ride and a half. There was lots of laughing, some tears, a bit of stress, and I sometimes thought I bit off more than I could chew, but I’m here and life is good.

Here are 26 things that marked my 25th year.

  1. Started planning a wedding

  2. Nate traveled for work (we got a lot of CC and travel points)

  3. Learned how to live with less

  4. Decided I love Matcha

  5. Traveled to ATL (a lot)

  6. Decided to move to Atlanta

  7. Spent a little time at The Black Pig

  8. Cooked up a few Ohio City Provisions pork chops

  9. Had a cancer scare (everything is good. Precancerous cells are gone).

  10. Was showered in love, macaroons and spritz at bridal showers

  11. Cuddled some cats at a Tiki Bar during my bachelorette

  12. Went to a wedding in ATL (do you sense a theme?)

  13. Quit my job

  14. Decorated a barn for a wedding

  15. Got married to my best friend

  16. Drank some wine in the Central Coast

  17. Joined a wine club because it had a winery cat

  18. FINALLY went to an IRL Milk Bar

  19. Got a new job the day before we moved

  20. Moved a cat from one state to another

  21. Lived with a blow-up mattress, an Instant Pot and a lot of cat toys for a week

  22. Did Thanksgiving not in Ohio for the first time ever

  23. Baked some cookies and hung a few ornaments

  24. Celebrated our first married Christmas just together with wine and Battlestar Galactica

  25. Read a lot of books and wrote some things

  26. Took more time to reflect and just be

Looking forward to 26 and what this year will bring.
