May Bullet Journal Round Up
I know that I have been slacking on my bullet journal posts for a while. Life has been a little crazy and it’s this thing that I keep doing, but haven’t written about in a while. Also, I’ve had a lot of freelancing work lately so….I am getting all written out by the end of the day.
Anyway. I finally have a bullet journal update for you. I wanted to share some of my May work with you. (I know I know. I skipped April. Don’t worry, I’m going to do an April review here soon.)
First thing is first. I decided to stick with the title page with the theme of the month for the start of each month. I find that the theme of the month has been weirdly prophetic so...we’re gonna stick with it
This month’s theme is grace. I am trying to acknowledge little moments of grace in my life this month. So far, it’s been really cool to pay more attention to it. As you can see, this month’s color is this purple to pink ombre thing. It’s unclear if pink will be the June color...I don’t know if I can commit to a layout that is all pink…
I decided to stick with the month at a glance layout with important dates and tasks. It helps me stay on track and not forget big things that we have coming up. Although...no matter how many times I write it down, Nate and I always seem to forget our Broadway series until the afternoon before.
I have also stayed with my little Pusheen doodle. This one is my favorite I have done so far. Isn’t he cute?!
I also am continuing to do a daily gratitude log. I find that it is really good for my mental health if I keep a daily gratitude log. It helps center me and remind me that there is a bright spot in each day.
I have added a daily affirmations log in my monthly spread too. I wanted something where I could reaffirm my confidence and writing things down is really helping.
For the weekly spreads, I am trying a different layout for May. I have the date at the bottom left now and am trying to give myself a little more space to write. My daily tasks have gotten a little more involved so I needed to give my writing a little more breathing room.
The above image is a mostly filled in week. The below one is a fresh week. I am still playing around with how exactly I like the organization to look. The verdict is still out.
I have also kept with a weekly habit tracker instead of a monthly one. I find that I am way more committed filling out the habit tracker on a weekly basis. If I make a monthly one, I never fill it out. And besides, I like the little doodles that I can do each month.
